Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Technology, Management, Biomedical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
• Five years of experience in related field at an Academic Medical Center.
• Five years of experience in a medium-sized hospital as Supervisor or Manager of Biomedical Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement a Biomedical Equipment Management Program and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and manage department budget; track labor, materials and service costs.
• Ensure staff are qualified, trained, and appropriately supervised; report to Director of Facilities.
• Lead reporting and documentation for regulatory compliance and safety.
• Coordinate interdepartmental services and liaise with hospital committees as needed.
• Maintain records and drive quality improvement and cost containment initiatives.
