Job summary

EMSAR is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Engineer I (BMEE I) to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate general and high-tech medical equipment. The engineer will interpret schematics, document service activity, and travel occasionally to support nationwide service needs.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in electronics or equivalent training, plus at least 3 years of experience in repairing medical equipment and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or DoD Biomedical Equipment Repair School or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining medical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electronic systems, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics; diagnose and repair electronic/electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to support electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.
• Read prints and schematics; repair and calibrate equipment to specifications.
• Prioritize and triage service work orders to meet commitments.
• Travel occasionally to support nationwide service needs.
