Job summary

The Orlando VA Healthcare System's Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Service seeks a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BEES) at the full performance level. The role supports the medical equipment management program and performs troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance on a broad range of medical devices and clinical systems.

Candidates must meet VA qualification standards, possess the required education or certification, and be able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications

Must meet at least one of the education/experience/certification options listed.
Education or certification must be documented and verifiable.
Experience in lifecycle management of medical devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision in HTM.
Provide troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance on medical equipment and clinical systems.
Coordinate vendor services and monitor maintenance contracts and safety standards.
Ensure data integrity in CMMS and maintain system security and network interfaces.

Associates or higher degree in biomedical technology or biomedical engineering

Associates or higher degree in electronics/IT/engineering + 1 year experience

DOD biomedical equipment technician training program

DOD training in repair and maintenance of electronic systems/IT + 1 year experience

HTM certificate program including internship

HTM certificate program without internship + 1 year experience

CBET/CRES/CLES/CHTM certification
