Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a seasoned Biomedical Engineering Manager to lead technicians, manage regulatory compliance, and oversee budgetary control within a Piedmont facility. The role focuses on maintaining clinical equipment accuracy for diagnosis and ensuring timely EOC oversight and regulatory surveys.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years in healthcare with 3+ years in hospital settings, a relevant degree or 11 years of equivalent experience, and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration or related clinical field is required.
• In lieu of degree, six or more years of experience is required.
• Five years of healthcare experience with at least three years in a hospital setting in Biomedical Engineering; 11 years with hospital experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
• One year of supervisory or management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Biomedical Technicians and oversee personnel management, regulatory compliance, and budget control.
• Ensure clinical equipment is repaired and maintained cost-effectively and accurate for clinical diagnosis.
• Prepare EOC committee reports, surveys and inspections for JCAHO/DNV and other regulators.
• Maintain strong customer service across department lines and foster good communication and relationships.
• Assist in aligning standard processes across the Piedmont Healthcare system.
