Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. is seeking a Biomedical Engineer I for the SOM Center in Frederick, MD. The role supports the Standardized Organoid Modeling Center with assay development, workflow automation, and technical oversight in a MEAD lab.

The candidate will work on advanced instrumentation, data analysis, and prototype testing, contributing to validated organoid models and scalable NAMs in preclinical research. This full-time exempt position requires security clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of related experience; foreign degrees evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• Two years of progressively responsible laboratory research experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent complex assignments and report to supervisor or scientist.
• Evaluate suitability and QC of research assays.
• Develop new assays or automated workflows and validate reliability.
• Prepare and execute research plans or production methodologies.
