Job summary

InfuSystem is seeking a Biomedical Technician I to service, repair, and maintain medical devices, ensuring device performance and patient safety. You will document actions in the CMMS, adhere to 5S, and participate in ongoing training while supporting a patient-focused culture.

The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, accurate reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet quality and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and repair in electronic or mechanical devices experience and/or training.
• Exceptional verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Daily servicing of medical devices.
• Uphold QA/QC standards while meeting production goals by following protocols and collaborating with the team.
• Deliver cost-effective and timely maintenance of medical devices.
• Record service actions and observations to build device history and provide insights.
• Input work orders into CMMS with correct parts, labor, equipment and results.
• Implement 5S workplace organization principles.
• Complete annual compliance training to meet regulatory standards.
• Provide feedback to leadership on device/process issues for continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a subset of device models; learn new devices as needed.
• Perform basic repair assessments and provide initial cost estimates.
• Troubleshoot devices to identify malfunctions and address issues promptly.
