Job summary

The Department of Surgery's Division of Health Data Science at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a Visiting Student Researcher. This role focuses on AI, biomedical informatics, computer vision, and health data science to advance clinical AI research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field with four years of relevant experience
• Strong Python programming skills
• Familiarity with ML, DL, and statistical modeling techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research setting
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Research and AI model development using biomedical datasets
• Assist in developing new research projects and literature reviews
• Prepare figures, tables, and reports for dissemination
• Present findings via posters, talks, and written reports
