Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to install, maintain, calibrate, and repair clinical equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot devices, and support patient care equipment.

The role includes mentoring BMET 1 technicians, managing inventory and parts records, and overseeing projects with complex medical devices, including radiological and network systems.

Qualifications

• CABT or CBET certification within 1 year of hire.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Experience in biomedical equipment maintenance in clinical settings.
• Strong understanding of medical device operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and customer service abilities.

The Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 (BMET 2) performs installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of clinical equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting patient care equipment.

Mentors BMET 1 technicians and manages equipment inventory and parts records.

Demonstrates strong communication, customer service, and technical problem-solving skills.

Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of clinical terminology, medical systems, and environment-specific operations.

Able to oversee projects and support complex medical devices, including radiological and network systems.

Performs repairs independently, including on-call troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills

Certifications: CABT or CBET within 1 year; valid driver’s license.

Education: Associate’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience.

Experience in biomedical equipment maintenance within clinical settings.
