Job summary

Med One Group in Fresno, CA is seeking a Biomed Repair Technician to repair, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of medical equipment. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and customer service to support hospitals and healthcare facilities.

The position is full-time and hourly, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, offering compensation of $27–$32 per hour DOE. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with company match after one year.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics/biomed tech is required.
• 4–5 years repairing medical equipment such as pumps, monitors, ventilators and hospital beds.
• Ability to read schematics and maintenance procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, calibrate, and maintain a variety of medical devices.
• Test equipment function using accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs to safety and performance standards.
• Maintain service records and documentation for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with installation, setup, and onboarding at facilities as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical info clearly.

Essential Functions

• Test, inspect, and verify the functionality of medical equipment while performing accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements.
• Assemble, clean, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of medical equipment, including infusion pumps, patient monitors, ventilators, hospital beds, and bariatric beds.
• Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs efficiently while ensuring all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Complete manufacturer training, certifications, and other recommended courses to maintain technical expertise and competency.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for repairs, inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with the delivery, installation, setup, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of medical equipment at hospitals and healthcare facilities as needed.
• Build professional relationships with hospital staff by providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
• Interface with hospital systems and other customers as necessary to ensure equipment functionality and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with receiving, processing, and preparing medical equipment for inventory and future deployment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company policies and safety procedures.
• Support the Rental Operations team with additional responsibilities as business needs require.

Job Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or a related field required
• 4-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining medical equipment, including infusion pumps, patient monitors, ventilators, hospital beds, and bariatric beds
• Strong knowledge of medical equipment diagnostics, repair techniques, calibration, and preventative maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety documentation
• Strong computer skills and basic technology proficiency
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
• Professional appearance and excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require
