The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking an experienced healthcare technology management professional to oversee maintenance and safety of medical equipment across clinical areas.
You will lead preventive maintenance, manage inventory, document equipment details, verify serial numbers, and mentor staff, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrates mastery in engineering disciplines including electronics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, TCP/IP networking, wireless communication protocols, chemistry, ionizing radiation, human anatomy and physiology. Independently designs and develops healthcare technology management programs to meet the needs of a diverse healthcare population of patients, caregivers and LIPs.

Job requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/climbing ladders, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and walking (distance: 1–2 miles/day), repetitive motion: computer keyboard and driving/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids, infectious disease and dust.
The starting base rate for this role is $45.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
