Job summary

BJC HealthCare is hiring an entry-level Biomedical Technician I to be on-site at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The role involves performing maintenance, calibration, testing and repair of medical equipment, with an emphasis on safety and service to hospital staff.

The ideal candidate has a healthcare background and a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering/Biomed Eng or related field preferred. No prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, define problems, compare options, implement solutions, and evaluate results; troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.

Role Purpose

Biomedical Technician performs performance assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of medical instrumentation, device and systems.
