Job summary

Dräger is seeking a Biomed Field Service Engineer II to cover the greater Birmingham area. You will install, maintain, recall, and repair medical devices at customer sites, and you may operate a company vehicle for field service.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of biomedical or electronic field service experience, an Associate in Electronics, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work non-standard hours and travel locally.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Associates in Electronics or related discipline.
• 2–4 years biomedical or electronic field service experience.
• Ability to work independently and meet goals.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Provides installation, maintenance, recall, and repair support at customer sites.
• Operates with independence and minimal oversight.
• Drives customer satisfaction by achieving service metrics and engagement.
• Maintains assets including vehicle, inventory, and test equipment.
• Supports team members as needed and documents service work promptly.
• Performs preventive maintenance and recalls per OEM standards.
• Installs new medical devices, demo units, and loaners per OEM standards.
• Manages service orders and uses diagnostic tools to document work.
• Meets KPIs while adhering to procedures and work instructions.
• Travels as needed and adjusts hours to meet customer needs.
