Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital in Rock Hill, SC seeks an experienced Biomedical Engineering professional to coordinate daily operations, supervise technicians, and act as liaison between Biomedical Engineering and customers. In the absence of the Director, you will assume responsibilities.

The role requires 5 years in Biomedical Engineering with at least 2 years supervisory experience. Preferred is an accredited college degree in Biomedical Electronics or military equivalent, plus

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years in Biomedical Engineering; 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: Graduate of 2 year accredited college in Biomedical Electronics or Military equivalent; AAMI Certification (CBET, CRES, CLES).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, operate, test, inspect and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Evaluate service processes to ensure equipment is maintained safely, timely and cost-effectively.
  • Communicate equipment purchases, preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance checks on all equipment.
  • Arrange and conduct in-service training for employees and customers.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Job Summary

Coordinates daily operations, including Technician Supervisor, Asset Initializations, and serves as liaison between Biomedical Engineering and Customers. Assumes responsibilities of Biomedical Engineering in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures personnel maintain, operate, test, inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment.
  • Evaluates service processes to continually ensure equipment is maintained in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
