Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager III to support U.S. Army aeromedical and injury biomechanics research initiatives. This onsite role is based at Fort Rucker, AL, with security clearance requirements and travel as needed.

The position emphasizes leading complex research projects, maintaining schedules and budgets, and coordinating with government, academia, and industry partners. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years PM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience managing project scope, budget, schedules, performance, and risk.
• Knowledge of medical research, injury biomechanics, laboratory operations, or data management environments.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate injury biomechanics research and development projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and risk assessments.
• Monitor project performance, milestones, and deliverables while providing status updates to leadership.
• Coordinate meetings, technical reviews, presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Support data management activities, documentation control, and quality assurance efforts.
• Collaborate with government personnel, academia, industry partners, and research customers.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for research studies, testing events, and field data collections.
