NAES Corporation is seeking an Auxiliary Operator for Plainfield Renewable Energy, a 37.5 MW biomass plant in Plainfield, CT. You will participate in start-up, shutdown, and routine operation alongside control room and maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.

The role requires paying close attention to procedures and safety rules, with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (24/7), and a base pay range of $32.10 to $38.04 per hour plus a performance bonus.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in power generation or heavy industrial settings.
• Knowledge of biomass or thermal power plant operations.
• Familiarity with emissions control technologies.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Commitment to safety protocols (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT).

Aufgaben

• Assist with start-up, shutdown, and routine operations of biomass plant systems.
• Operate and monitor biomass conveyors, feed systems, ash handling, and emissions controls.
• Conduct inspections and tests; perform minor repairs to ensure reliability.
• Follow control room orders; perform isolation and lockout/tagout as needed.
• Perform water chemistry analysis on boiler feedwater and condensate.
• Maintain logs and shift reports; issue Tag Outs as authorized.
• Identify abnormal conditions and report to CRO; support corrective actions.
• Support mechanical and electrical maintenance and CMMS documentation.
• Perform other duties to ensure safe, efficient plant operation.
