Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a Biomarker Sample Operations Manager in North Chicago, IL or South San Francisco, CA, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will coordinate collection, handling and transfer of clinical trial biomarkers, collaborating with PMs and scientists to meet timelines and uphold regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing sample shipping, data reconciliation, vendor management, and process improvements, while ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP and bio-storage

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with 3+ years project management experience in oncology/clinical trials.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years project management experience in oncology/clinical trials.
• Strong MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Clinical trial experience and knowledge of oncology required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee collection and shipping of bio-samples to labs.
• Partner with Biomarker Program Manager and Lead Scientist to meet study timelines.
• Ensure timely shipments and data transfer to databases.
• Drive process improvements for sample handling and storage.
• Review study documents related to sample handling and transport.
• Create edit checks for sample types within trials.
• Manage relationships with lab vendors and assess service levels.
• Escalate issues and resolve operational gaps promptly.
• Review lab invoices to confirm completed work.
• Assist with contract execution and vendor oversight.
• Develop and implement a sample tracking system with IT.
• Adhere to ICH/GCP and bio-storage procedures.
• Grow into SME for BPM processes.
• Participate in process improvements and training materials.
