Job summary

Biogen RTP is seeking Manufacturing Associates to operate in a 12-hour shift environment on a 2-2-3 calendar. This role focuses on Upstream Cell Culture at the Drug Substance facility in Research Triangle Park, performing inoculations, bioreactor preparation, and routine in-process testing in a cGMP setting.

You will calibrate probes, document activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (MSAT, Quality, Engineering) to ensure product quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 0+ years of direct experience expected.
• BioWorks Certificate or associate's degree preferred with 0+ years of direct experience.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 0.5 years direct experience.
• Previous experience in a GxP environment is required or preferred.
• Must be able to follow SOPs and work on shift schedules if required.
• Demonstrated documentation and data integrity skills.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and cleanroom practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inoculation thaws, splits, and pools using aseptic technique.
• Prepare bioreactors by executing automated CIP/SIP recipes.
• Calibrate and standardize pH and DO probes.
• Inoculate bioreactors across multiple scales.
• Support cell growth operations including media feeds and process additions.
• Document activities in accordance with cGMP and SOPs.
