UC Santa Cruz is seeking a capable instructional support staff member for the Biology Department, focusing on EEB teaching labs and field courses. The role includes coordinating materials, equipment, and safety training, and acting as the CSC facilities liaison across campuses.

You will support faculty, onboard new staff, and help manage lab spaces, inventories and safety programs while ensuring smooth operations of teaching labs and field activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics principles.
• Experience with laboratory and field biology.
• Ability to manage materials, equipment and safety training.

Responsabilités

• Provide logistics and technical support for biology lab and field courses.
• Coordinate facilities needs and shipping/logistics for CSC and CBB.
• Assist with onboarding new faculty and maintaining lab spaces.
• Support safety training and IACUC compliance.
• Manage classroom space and resources for Seymour Marine Discovery Center.
• Perform operational support including equipment custody and vehicle logistics.
