Job summary

University of Central Missouri seeks a Graduate Assistant in Biology to support teaching and lab instruction. The TA will direct undergraduate laboratories in animal biology, ecology labs, anatomy and physiology, and assist with grading and discussion groups.

The position requires admission to the Biology MS program and meeting GPA criteria. Stipend is provided per semester, with tuition waivers available for eligible students. Duties include lab direction and office hours.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Biology MS program at UCM.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Maintenance of minimum GPA thresholds: 3.0+ graduate, or 2.7+ undergraduate if no previous graduate courses taken.

Responsibilities

• Direction of undergraduates in laboratory preparation, grading quizzes and reports.
• Proctor major examinations or assist in lab preparation.
• Supplement instruction.
• Guide undergraduates in understanding course content and assist in exam prep and grading.
