Job summary

Great Hearts Arlington Upper School is seeking a High School Biology Teacher to join our campus in Arlington, Texas. The role involves delivering life science instruction, aligning with the Great Hearts curriculum, and cultivating a joyful, purposeful classroom environment.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher, with US work authorization. Experience is valued, and professional growth within a mission-driven, faith-informed, classical liberal arts network is offered.

  • Certification is not required for general education.
  • All majors are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned Biology classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom.
  • Provide academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs.
  • Uphold and model Great Hearts culture, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with families, initiating conferences and fostering home-school partnerships.
  • Participate in faculty collaboration, school events, and ongoing professional growth.
