St. Charles Community College in Missouri seeks a Part-Time Academic & Success Coach-Biology for The EXCELerator. You will coach students one-on-one, lead biology workshops, and help students apply critical thinking and lab skills.

Collaborate with the Director and faculty to promote tutoring services, develop assessment tools, and support retention efforts across biology disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biology or related field (Master's preferred).
• Proficiency in undergraduate biology topics and lab safety.
• Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring or academic support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching focusing on study techniques and biology concepts.
• Actively promote tutoring and success coaching services for biology on and off campus.
• Support the Director in marketing strategies to increase biology participation.
• Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and campus departments on biology courses.
• Participate in initiatives to improve student retention and success in biology.
• SCC's biology tutoring team supports multiple disciplines with discipline-specific criteria.
