Job summary

Central Arizona College seeks a dedicated biology faculty member to join our team. The role involves teaching diverse biology courses at the college level across modalities, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and live stream formats.

You will develop and assess curricula and contribute to program outcomes while supporting student success. The position emphasizes collaboration with colleagues, effective communication, and ongoing professional development to advance teaching and learning

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field with 18 graduate credits in Biological Sciences from a regionally accredited institution.
Ability to teach a variety of biology courses across modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid, live stream).
Experience developing and assessing curricula and syllabi.
Ability to recruit and engage diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

Teach a variety of college-level biology courses in multiple modalities.
Provide and present course content and context in lecture and lab, in-person and online.
Employ a variety of assessment tools; evaluate and comment on student work to facilitate progress.
Propose, develop, and assess instructional materials, curriculum, courses, and assessment tools.
