Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant to support biology instruction on the Main Campus in Phoenix. You will work with the lecturing instructor to provide classroom and academic support, enhancing student learning experiences.

A Bachelor’s degree in Biology is required, with strong communication and APA formatting skills. Candidates with biology coursework in any discipline may be considered and a Christ-centered environment is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology with relevant coursework.
• Biology coursework in any discipline may be considered.
• Completion of relevant coursework in instructional area with a grade of B or higher.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to building positive relationships with students; proficiency in English grammar and APA formatting; desire to contribute to a Christ-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Support program instruction using current technologies and industry practices.
• Ensure alignment with program accreditation requirements and university standards.
• Be available to work on GCU’s Main Campus at least two days per week.
• Contribute to the university community through active participation in programs and alignment with its mission and values.
• Serve as a role model by upholding GCU’s Doctrinal Statement and Ethical Position Statement.
