Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking a skilled Course Administrator to oversee all undergraduate Biology courses and related processes. You will coordinate enrollment, room assignments, and scheduling for over 100 sections each semester, ensuring equitable access and smooth operations across UR Student and VEMS.

In this role, you will manage grading workflows with TAs, align with Blackboard, and collaborate with the Registrar and disability resources to support diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Course Administration and Enrollment Management: maintain 100+ sections in UR Student, schedule rooms, manage enrollments within registrar timelines.
• Course Support: collect grades from 70 TAs weekly, coordinate grading schemes, sync grades with Blackboard, handle grade changes.
• Liaison to Registrar: update online registration, meet deadlines, maintain enrollments and course records.
• Independent Research: manage 395/395W processes, pre-review requests, coordinate with registrar for registration.
• Transfer Credit: facilitate and document transfer credit requests.
• TA Coordination, Hiring, & Support: assist in recruiting and scheduling over 100 teaching assistants, support adjunct budget planning.
• Student Employment: assist SEO with job postings, approvals, and hiring processes.
• Event and Graduation Coordination: help coordinate student events, posters, and ceremonies.
• Classroom & Blackboard Support: reserve rooms, report equipment issues, support Blackboard & Panopto access.
• Course Management for SAS: oversee STEM department changes, coordinate monthly meetings and policy updates.
