Stratacuity: Proven Scientific Placement is seeking an experienced biologist to join a Cambridge, MA research team on a contract basis. The role focuses on advancing a novel therapeutic platform addressing serious diseases with unmet patient need.

The ideal candidate will excel in cell-based assay development, mammalian cell culture, and molecular biology techniques, delivering high-quality data in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 6+ years of industry experience, or M.S. with 4+ years of industry experience.
• Strong background in high-throughput cellular assay development, optimization, and quantitative data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, including cancer cell lines, primary cells, and/or 3D organoid models.
• Experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques such as qPCR, ELISA, western blotting, immunoassays, and protein interaction assays.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute cell-based screening assays in 2D and 3D cellular models.
• Evaluate therapeutic activity and mechanism of action using a variety of assay platforms, including target engagement, reporter-based, proliferation, and biomarker assays.
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and experimental documentation.
• Collaborate closely with research colleagues to support discovery and development programs.
