The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is seeking a Biologist DCL-B to support the review and evaluation of LDWF education and outreach programs, develop performance measures, analyze program data, and assist staff with program development and compliance.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is responsible for managing and protecting the state’s renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life. This Biologist DCL-B position provides professional support for the review and evaluation of LDWF education and outreach programs. The position reviews program effectiveness, develops performance measures, analyzes program data, provides recommendations, and assists staff with program development, documentation, and compliance. The position also supports outreach to traditional and nontraditional audiences and programs funded through Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration.
Four years of experience in fisheries management or wildlife management; one year of this experience must be in either grants management, project development, project management, or permitting of various activities.

Current permanent status classified state employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected.
