Smith+Nephew in Fort Worth is seeking an R&D Manager for Support Services to lead scientific programs from concept through launch and to develop a high-performing team.

You will oversee Biologics laboratories, manage BRM product lifecycle, and design plans that integrate innovation with development testing. Collaborative cross-function leadership is essential for milestones and product claims.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience from concept to commercialization in medical devices, pharma, or biotech.
• 2+ years of leadership experience and ability to develop team members.
• Strong scientific expertise with study design, data interpretation, and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage junior team members within Biologics franchise and ensure project success.
• Oversee functionality and operations of Biologics laboratories.
• Support end-to-end lifecycle of BRM products from development to commercialization.
• Design and execute project plans integrating innovation, feasibility, and development testing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and others.
