Job summary

Merck is seeking a candidate to join our professional lab setting, contributing to the development and commercialization of life-saving therapeutics. The role primarily supports the solutions prep team with opportunities to assist the purification team, requiring collaboration across pilot plant operations and R&D.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in lab settings, strong documentation and沟ng communication skills, and is willing to work non-business hours to support production.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering/Biology/Chemistry with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Strong laboratory experimentation and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teams.
• Leadership of small projects or sub-teams including vendor interactions.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to learn new lab techniques and follow safety guidelines; capable of lifting 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in the preparation of solutions to support pilot plant operations.
• Batch documentation within an electronic laboratory system.
• Participate in scheduling discussions within the operations team.
• Work collaboratively with pilot plant operations, upstream and downstream teams.
• Collaborate with process development scientists from across BPR&D.
• Support safety and training initiatives.
• Track and document chemical usage and inventory.
• Maintain clean room and good housekeeping to prevent contamination.
