Job summary

Merck is offering a multi-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow opportunity in Biologics Process Research & Development. The role focuses on understanding biologics manufacturing processes, integrating systems biology and analytical science to improve product quality and process performance in a industry setting.

The fellow will collaborate across Discovery, Pre-clinical, Early Development, Analytical, Formulation, and Commercial Manufacturing, with opportunities to publish and present findings

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a Ph.D. or will have Ph.D. by June 2027.
• Strong record of publications and presentations.
• Interest in biologics manufacturing, cell culture, or bioprocess development.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret research studies related to biologics manufacturing and process development.
• Develop and manage an independent research project with multidisciplinary teams.
• Investigate relationships among process conditions, cell culture performance, and product characteristics.
• Apply analytical, molecular, and biological methods to generate and interpret data.
• Present research findings at internal and external scientific forums and in peer-reviewed journals.
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging developments in the field.
