Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks a Director-level Biologics Drug Product Development leader to guide ultra-high concentration formulation and process development across multiple pipeline programs. Qualifications

• Proven ability to solve critical scientific problems.
• Extensive experience in biologics and sterile parenteral drug product development.
• 5+ years of progressive people management roles.
• Experience leading drug product development as the functional lead within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical oversight for drug product development of ultra-high concentration formulations and process development.
• Oversee drug product development across 5–7 pipeline programs and manage external partnerships as needed.
• Communicate development plans, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders and management.
• Initiate scientific initiatives to drive innovation and improve processes.
• Author high-quality technical reports and regulatory documentation for drug products.
• Serve as SME in due diligence of external opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 8–10 scientists.
