Job summary

Zoetis Veterinary Medicine Research and Development in Lincoln, NE seeks an analytical assay scientist (Scientist level) to advance analytical method development for biopharmaceutical products. You will perform ELISA/MSD assays, support qualification, transfer to QC, and contribute to development programs across lifecycle.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply DOE and statistics, maintain thorough documentation, and help ensure timely project progress in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in microbiology, biochemistry, biology or related discipline with 7+ years experience; MS with 5+ years accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience in biopharmaceutical/vaccine field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute lab experiments for analytical method development, qualification, validation, transfer, and product characterization using quantitative ELISA/MSD, and microbial assays; support PCR/qPCR and cell-based assays as needed.
• Monitor, trend, and communicate method performance; investigate atypical results and identify potential root causes.
• Document procedures, results, conclusions, and recommendations in ELNs, reports and presentations.
• Present analytical data and conclusions at project team meetings and support cross-functional decisions.
• Collaborate with scientists across process development and manufacturing.
• Apply basic statistics and DOE to data analysis, design of experiments, and process control.
• Support lab operations with proper records, procedures, and safety compliance to ensure timely project completion.
