Job summary

The Florida Department of Health is seeking an OPS Biological Scientist III / Data Analyst in Broward County. This full-time, in-office role focuses on data related to overdose prevention, including instrument development, data quality, dashboards, and reports to support CDC reporting and program evaluation.

You will manage datasets, analyze data, and present findings to diverse audiences, contributing to performance monitoring and improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, data science/analytics, public health with quantitative concentration, or closely related field.
• Experience performing data analysis using R, Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience managing datasets, including data cleaning and validation.
• Experience developing dashboards, visualizations, or other data displays.
• Experience preparing written analytic reports and presenting data findings to audiences.
• Experience creating or revising data collection instruments and supporting program performance monitoring.
