The Florida Department of Health is seeking an OPS Biological Scientist III / Data Analyst in Broward County. You will manage datasets, analyze data, and present findings to diverse audiences, contributing to performance monitoring and improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, data science/analytics, public health with quantitative concentration, or closely related field.
• Experience performing data analysis using R, Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience managing datasets, including data cleaning and validation.
• Experience developing dashboards, visualizations, or other data displays.
• Experience preparing written analytic reports and presenting data findings to audiences.
• Experience creating or revising data collection instruments and supporting program performance monitoring.

This OPS Biological Scientist III / Data Analyst position supports the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program within the Florida Department of Health, located in Broward County. The role manages, analyzes, and reports data related to overdose prevention activities, including developing data collection instruments, ensuring data quality, preparing dashboards and reports, and supporting CDC-required reporting and program evaluation. This is a full-time, in-office position with health benefits offered for OPS employees.
