Job summary

SeqMatic LLC. is seeking a Bioinformatics Research Associate for a 3 month contract to join the sequencing service team.

The role focuses on QC and bioinformatic analysis of NGS data, including bulk RNA and single-cell datasets, and on developing and refining analysis pipelines. The ideal candidate has a solid background in bioinformatics or related fields, with comfort in Unix/Linux environments and experience using standard NGS tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics or a related science.
• Experience working in a Unix/Linux command-line environment is required
• Experience with NGS platforms preferred, Illumina or 10X Genomics
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as Bowtie, GATK/Picard, STAR, SAMtools, Cell Ranger, etc.
• Experience with large-scale datasets using HPC; cloud familiarity (AWS) is a plus
• Proficient with MS Office; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and teamwork能力（technique）

Responsibilities

• Data QC of NGS sequencing data
• Bioinformatic analysis of NGS data, especially bulk RNA and scRNA
• Custom bioinformatic analysis
• Develop, maintain, and optimize analysis pipelines
• Generate data QC and analysis reports
• Organize and maintain experimental records and lab procedures
• Communicate with customers and team members
