Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s, in the Rothenberg Lab, is seeking a Bioinformatics Research Fellow to analyze Next-Generation Sequencing data and other genomic datasets to study the genetic basis of allergic responses. The role emphasizes collaboration and advancing departmental capabilities in a highly translational environment.

The successful candidate will design and implement bioinformatics analyses, coordinate with laboratory and clinical teams, and contribute to publications and grant activities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree required.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other quantitative disciplines is preferred.
• Experience in a related discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and record analysis and experiments; apply standard scientific protocols to research; improve methods and evaluate innovative techniques.
• Prepare, clean and analyze data following relevant laws and regulations; maintain accurate records.
• Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, and abstracts; present results at meetings and seminars; provide recommendations and analysis.
