Qualifications

• Ph.D. in related discipline, MD, or equivalent degree.
• Experience in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and experiments - Design, execute, and record analyses and experiments; apply standard scientific protocols to research; improve current methods and evaluate innovative techniques.
• Develop and implement human subject research protocols and animal research protocols; design procedures and documentation per relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare, clean and analyze data; maintain protocol accuracy and reproducibility checks.
• Communicate results and findings - Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, and abstracts; present at meetings and seminars; provide recommendations and analysis.
• Innovate and advance departmental capabilities - Reproduce and evaluate techniques; adapt new methods; maintain records; develop new protocols and procedures; participate in meetings and publications.
• Financial/Budgeting - Assist in grant applications; assist in budgeting; monitor expenditures and capital requests; track funding and resolve discrepancies.
• Staff Leadership - May provide day-to-day leadership for a team; establish goals; supervise performance and guide assignments.
• Education and Training - May serve as course master or guest lecturer; assist in training new employees; mentor colleagues; develop and present training.

Ph.D. in related discipline, MD, or equivalent degree (PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other similar quantitative disciplines)
