Job summary

Indiana University Center for Bioinformatics at IU School of Medicine seeks a skilled bioinformatician to preprocess high-throughput sequencing data, implement pipelines for alignment, quantification, and variant detection, and generate publication-ready figures. The role collaborates with researchers, maintains datasets, and stays current with bioinformatics trends.

You will communicate results clearly, support data sharing, and contribute to reproducible analyses in a fast-paced research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred in computer science, bioinformatics, biology, or related field)
• Master's degree in computer science, bioinformatics, biology, or related field
• Some experience in research technology support or large biological data analysis

Responsibilities

• Preprocess and QC of high-throughput sequencing data
• Run and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for data alignment, quantification, and variant/feature detection
• Generate figures, tables, and summaries of analyses for manuscripts and reports
• Organize and maintain research datasets with reproducibility standards
• Communicate analysis results to researchers and collaborators
