University of Washington invites applications for two 100% FTE tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Bioengineering (COE). Start date anticipated September 2027; nine-month appointments renewable.

Salary range is $8,500–$13,000 per month, commensurate with experience or as required by wage determination. Candidates will develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program, teach and mentor across undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the department,

Qualifications

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Bioengineering or related discipline. An MD (or foreign equivalent) is also acceptable.
• Demonstrated potential for interdisciplinary research and teaching.
• Ability to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program.

Responsibilities

• Develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program; provide innovative, high-quality teaching and mentorship at undergraduate and graduate levels; contribute to department, college, and university missions.
• Establish courses and educational activities in areas of expertise; participate in undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programs.
• Build collaborations across disciplines and with affiliated institutions to advance foundational tech and biomedical applications.
