Job summary

iPROOF in Decatur is seeking an Bioeconomy Development Intern to help build and commission a pioneering biomanufacturing project. You’ll contribute to technical tasks and learn through business development exposure, with housing stipend options based on location.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a biotech degree program, understand fermentation processes, and bring solid math, science, and computer skills. This internship reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an active biotechnology-related degree program.
• Familiarity with precision/industrial fermentation processes.
• Strong math, science and computer skills required.
• Able to work in a dynamic, project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in equipment qualification to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Draft SOPs for various processes.
• Assist in developing Process Control Description/Narrative.
• Assist in day-to-day construction activities.
• Support business development activities under guidance of BD Director.
• Report to the iPROOF General Manager.
