Job summary

ADM's Biodiesel Technology Engineer in Decatur, IL will apply chemical engineering principles to optimize biodiesel production facilities across North America.

You will lead safety and continuous improvement, evaluate new technologies, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and corporate teams. Travel up to 50% is required.

The role requires hands-on engineering, data analysis, CAD/Aspen experience, and strong teamwork to deliver world-class performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Minimum two years in industrial process manufacturing; five+ years preferred.
• Experience in biodiesel/renewable fuels industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Benchmark facility performance against best-in-class biodiesel technologies.
• Develop and maintain technology and capital project portfolios.
• Evaluate and champion new process technologies and equipment.
• Support advanced process control and digital optimization projects.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis support.
• Coach and mentor engineers and operations personnel.
• Frequent travel up to 50% is required.
