Job summary

Pacific Biodiesel seeks a hands-on operator in Keaau, Hawaii to meet production targets and maintain the plant. You will follow SOPs, perform QC tests, and report status to management.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, forklift operation, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, in a safety‑driven environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic software skills, and a keen interest in renewable energy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Professional training in process safety and equipment maintenance a plus.
• Mechanical ability to repair and maintain equipment.
• Understanding of valves, pipes, pumps, boiler, etc.
• Ability to operate a forklift and qualify for certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Production QA/QC.
• Understanding of environmental hazards management/planning.
• Work schedule flexibility; 4, 12-hour shifts (3 on, 4 off).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in renewable energy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet target volumes of quality biodiesel production.
• Operate and maintain transfer pumps, valves, forklift truck.
• Coordinate with the Production Team Manager.
• Document quality control sample tests for chemical and physical characteristics.
