Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with standard bacteriological methods including phenotypic, biochemical and/or molecular analysis of bacterial agents.
• Proficiency in oral and written communications is essential.
• Organizational skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety, biosurety, and decontamination desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis of bacteriological samples using standard techniques such as plating, Gram staining, colony counting, and genetic analyses.
• Contributes to matrixed research teams with various scientific disciplines.
• Manages multiple tasks and adapts to changing priorities in a high containment environment.
• Follows procedures and guides the quality management system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assists in writing and updating NBACC SOPs and work instructions.
• Supports investigators during data review and report writing.
