Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. or equivalent in Biochemistry or Chemistry required at appointment.
• Proven record in teaching at the university level with student-centered learning.
• Evidence of conducting and publishing research in Biochemistry.
• Ability to teach general chemistry I and II and biochemistry I–III.
• Experience with laboratory-based instruction in chemistry and biochemistry.
• Capacity to teach large-enrollment courses and engage diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Chemistry I & II, Biochemistry I–III, and electives as needed.
• Advise students and participate in campus and system-wide communities.
• Establish and maintain an active research/scholarship program.
• Mentor students and collaborate with colleagues to enhance learning.
• Support the Health and Medical Sciences program as advisor.
