Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt invites applicants for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track position in Biochemistry within the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. The role includes teaching core and elective biochemistry and chemistry courses, advising students, and developing a strong research program.

The successful candidate will also support the Health and Medical Sciences program as a student advisor and program advisor, with a commitment to equity and inclusive excellence.

Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. or equivalent in Biochemistry or Chemistry at appointment time.
• If ABD, degree requirements must be completed by appointment date.

Responsibilities

• Teach general chemistry I and II, biochemistry I–III, and related electives.
• Advise students and participate in research/scholarship activities.
• Contribute to outreach and service to the university and community.
