Responsibilities

Performs laboratory tests and procedures.
Follows approved policies and procedures for methodologies and instrument operations.
Performs quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration checks.
Reviews patient results prior to release to EMR and ensures consistency with patient history.
Communicate critical values to medical staff according to protocol.
Participates in training of new technologists/residents.
