Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years in a laboratory setting.
• Experience using laboratory instrumentation and automation.
• Ability to work across teams and with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support automation solutions in the Biobank/Biocentre.
• Assist commissioning of aliquoting systems and automated storage.
• Develop maintenance schedules for equipment.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate equipment with LIMS and related infrastructure.
• Deliver training for science partners on automation platforms and processes.
• Maintain procedural documentation for automation activities.
• Receive, register, and track incoming human biological samples using informatics systems.
• Handle sample requests and respond to queries professionally.
• Ensure compliance with global HBS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with vendors, engineers, and dispatch teams as needed.
• Support transportation and dispatch activities for samples.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with global teams.
• Perform work in alignment with SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain visibility of work in progress in systems and databases.
• Provide local support for launch and ongoing optimization of automation.
