Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. supports the National Institute of Mental Health within NIH. The Biobank Assay Specialist will oversee PhIP-Seq operations, assist biobank sample processing, and learn flow cytometry, ELISA, and Simoa assays in a BSL-2 lab on site.

Requires MLS/Medical Technology degree or higher; CAP/CLIA lab experience preferred. Responsibilities include labeling, logging, auditing, and data delivery, with emphasis on sample integrity and inventory management.

Qualifications

• MLS/Medical Technology degree or master's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in CAP- or CLIA-certified labs preferred.
• Experience with vacutainers, PCR, and NGS library prep desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform flow cytometry-based experiments with cell prep and sorting.
• Label, log, audit, and process samples; deliver data.
• Prepare materials and equipment for experiments; maintain records.
• Monitor inventory and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Provide progress updates and prepare reports based on results.
