Job summary

Astrix Inc. in Ridgefield, CT seeks a Scientist – Bioanalysis / Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics to support DMPK bioanalytical workflows in a contract role. The position offers $39–$42/hr for a 1-year engagement.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field and 0–3 years of laboratory experience, with hands-on aSEC and LC-MS expertise, strong documentation, and the ability to work independently within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 0–3 years of laboratory or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with analytical size exclusion chromatography (aSEC) and/or LC-MS.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team.
• Strong planning, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn electronic laboratory notebooks and data-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete interdependent lab activities.
• Manage reagents, matrices, and reference standards with tracking and inventory.
• Coordinate storage and tracking of samples at off-site facilities.
• Perform analytical characterization of reagents, including aSEC and LC-MS.
• Maintain accurate lab records and archive data in ELNs and data-management systems.
• Support laboratory safety activities and equipment calibration.
• Prepare reports and technical documents using MS Office.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
