The University of Texas at Austin’s Discovery to Impact Innovation Labs is seeking a Lab Operations Associate to help run a new 10,000-square-foot bio-science incubator on UT Main Campus. You will support daily operations, equipment, safety, training, and company member support to ensure a productive environment for startups.

This part-time, 1-year role offers hands-on experience in facilities, inventory, and compliance, with a $25/hour rate and a 20–40 hour work week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school with two years of lab experience.
• Experience in academic or commercial labs (1+ year) preferred.
• Familiarity with lab safety programs and hazardous waste procedures.

Responsabilités

• Operational Support: day-to-day facilities operations and client support.
• Equipment: install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment; manage maintenance logs.
• Safety & Compliance: assist with UT EHS programs and PPE usage.
• Quality Assurance: help create/update SOPs for equipment and safety.
• Facilities: keep spaces clean and coordinate with facilities and custodial staff.
• Inventory & Purchasing: track inventory and assist with purchasing.
• Training: provide hands-on training for equipment use and safety.
• Client Support: onboard/offboard company members and assist with research productivity.
• Community Engagement: support tours and events to promote the Innovation Labs.
