Job summary

AVS Bio seeks a Farm Technician to support hatchery, brooding, house management, and egg handling on our Voluntown, CT site. You will operate farm equipment, assist with packing and shipping, and maintain facilities per SOPs. Strong poultry husbandry and recordkeeping are essential.

Requirements include 1–2 years in agriculture, high school diploma or GED, English fluency, and a valid driver's license. This is a daytime, direct-hire role with a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related farm experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Valid driver's license; DOT may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hatchery, brooding, house management, and egg processing.
• Operate egg sanitizing machine and conveyance systems per SOPs.
• Maintain facilities, grounds, and perform light maintenance.
• Monitor bird condition and assist with packing, shipping, and recordkeeping.
